Welcome to the School of Regulation and Relational Leadership at Stonewall Haven

Where nervous systems find safety and relationships become places of wisdom. This is a home for regulation, belonging, and relational leadership.

I believe a regulated nervous system is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves, our relationships, and our communities.

Through sharing circles, educational resources, and embodied practice, we are cultivating people who lead from grounded presence rather than reactivity.

Why this space was created….

“I found myself no longer available for emotional chaos-mine or anyone else’s.”

This space was created by me, for me, to cultivate the kind of capacity and relational leadership that can meet intensity without collapse, conflict without cruelty, and activation without abandoning myself.  If this speaks to you, you are welcome to join me.

The intention of this work is to build real capacity to regulate my nervous system, take emotional responsibility, and engage others from clarity rather than reactivity.

Leadership here does not mean control or dominance. It means presence, self-trust, and the ability to remain grounded when the stakes are high.

This is a living education—practiced daily, embodied slowly, and measured not by perfection, but by an increasing capacity for steadiness, choice, and relational integrity.

Meet Shayla “Sufiya”

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.

For several years now, I've been curious about what helps people flourish and what allows us to remain open-hearted in the face of life's inevitable challenges, to navigate conflict with integrity, and to build relationships that are rooted in trust, dignity, and genuine belonging.

That curiosity in now becoming a calling.

The School of Regulation & Relational Leadership grew from a deep conviction that one of the greatest gifts we can offer the world is a well-regulated nervous system. When we learn to meet ourselves with awareness and compassion, we begin to meet one another differently. We listen more deeply. We react less impulsively. We repair more readily. We become people whose presence brings steadiness rather than fear.

This isn't just the work I share, it's the path I'm walking myself.

Like everyone else, I've known grief, uncertainty, heartbreak, and moments that asked more of me than I believed I could give. Those experiences have become some of my greatest teachers. They continue to remind me that regulation isn't about becoming calm all the time or getting life "right." It's about growing the capacity to stay connected to ourselves and to one another, even when life feels tender or uncertain.

The School of Regulation and Relational Leadership at Stonewall Haven was born from that vision.

I imagine it as a place where people gather not because they have all the answers, but because they're willing to practice. A place where we can slow down, tell the truth, be deeply witnessed, and cultivate the qualities that help us live and lead with greater wisdom, courage, and compassion.

Whether you're joining a sharing circle, exploring the School's offerings, or simply finding your way here out of curiosity, I hope you feel something that is increasingly rare in our world:

That you don't have to perform to belong.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

You simply have to be willing to begin.

Welcome to Stonewall Haven. I'm honored you're here.
